Young Designer Award returns to the Longines Irish Champions Weekend

YOUNG designers are being welcomed to submit original sketches for the Longines Irish Champions Weekend in September that will showcase a portrayal of ‘Contemporary Race Day Elegance’, the winner to receive a prize valued at €10,000.

Entries of original sketches are being accepted for the Irish Champions Weekend at Leopardstown Racecourse on 10 September in Dublin Ireland, the aim being to celebrate the best of Irish talent. Three finalists will be selected to create and showcase their designs from their original sketches to be judged by a panel headed by stylist Courtney Smith for the second consecutive year as well as representatives from Longines and Evoke.ie.

Submitted sketches should portray a design for a male or female who will be expected to attend the Champions Weekend if selected as a finalist.

Sketches should be submitted to youngdesigner@irishchampionsweekend.ie by Tuesday 16 August at 12pm. The piece can include but is not limited to dresses, suits, skirts, trousers and coordinating sets, and all entry guidelines are online at https://www.irishchampionsweekend.ie.

The Longines Irish Champions Weekend at Leopardstown Racecourse will host the second annual Young Designer Award

The prize of €10,000 includes a Longines timepiece, a profiling piece with media partner Evoke.ie and a prize fund of €1,000.
